How do I convert a file to the required format?
Depending upon the software used to capture the audio or video file, you might be able to do a “save as” in that software and save a copy as a .mp3 or mp4 file. If you do not have that options we recommend that you download one of the free software programs that we suggest and convert the files that way. Converting files from one format to another is relatively simple.
Why do files have to be converted (encoded) to a specific format?
Although people can save and oftentimes read files in many different formats, we decided that it would be easier on our members if we standardized the files that we accepted so that they would only have to deal with one reader for their computer or ipod. Converting files from one format to another is relatively simple. We have provided a number of free software programs that can make the conversion for you quickly and correctly.

If I delete a file by mistake, is there any easy way to get it back, or do I have to upload it again?
Probably. In some cases if you notify us of the mistake immediately we may be able to reinstate the file. If not you will have to upload again.
I’ve lost my password, how do I get a new one?

My file is 24 MB and I’m on a dial up, how long will it take for it to upload?
Longer than if you were on hi-speed
. Actually it is difficult to determine exactly how long it will take because too much depends upon your ISP (internet service provider) connection, your computer etc.. It will take some time but it can be done.
I signed up for a custom web page and don’t remember the URL. How do I find it?
When you log in to Christian Archives you are automatically redirected to your account management page which features a “quick links” section. “Quick links” has a menu item entitled “edit your custom web page” — click on that.
Once there you will see a link for “preview your custom webpage” – click on that and you will be redirected to your custom web page. Look at the URL at the top of the page – that is the address for your custom web page.
Put a link on your website “Archives” or whatever you choose and have it link to your custom web page – that way anyone that utilizes your site (your members etc..) can easily access your files through your custom web page. They do not have to log in to Christian Archives to download or view your files.
